Time to Vote

Before I left Hawaii my Dad told me that he really wants me to buy him a didgeridoo for Christmas. The problem is that I can't decide which one to get him, so I am putting a photo up for some help. I want everyone who reads this post to vote in the comments by saying which one I should buy for him.

well, if he doesn't know a quality didgeridoo when he sees one, then the logical answer is "the least expensive".

Hmm....I'd really recommend anything from Arnhem Land first and foremost, especially if you'll be getting up to Darwin itself. This is the one true home of the didge (ethnographically speaking). If you can't find a certifiable Arnhem one, I'd say go for a minimally decorated one or plane/polished one. The most traditional didges up there are not flashy. That is, if you're keen on getting him a traditional one. I have a nice one from the Wiradjeri (sp) people from the Dubbo area of NSW. I like it. As to that photo....some of the darker wood ones look quite nice.

Don't know much about them, personally, but I have to agree that the darker woods look nicer to me. I suppose it really matters more whether he likes light or dark wood though. I would personally stay away from the teal one.
